It’s officially started!

March 3, 2007

We’re kicking off the blog today. Obviously this a little late in getting started, but we didn’t get the idea until some friends of ours started a blog to detail their adventure in adopting a baby from China. Check out their story here.

After seeing their blog we figured it would be a good way to share our adventure with our family and friends that might not be able to make it to Dallas very often. Currently we don’t have much on the blog but here is our first baby picture.

    Hi Sweeties,
We are so glad that you started this BLOG. It gives us, who are so far away, something to hang on to. We don’t get to see the increasing belly or join you on your baby stuff looking trips, so this helps to make it real for us too. I swear babies just seem to be coming out of the woodworks these days, and they are all looking at me and smiling out as if they know I am going to be a grandma. It is all to exciting. We can’t wait to be there in just 2 1/2 weeks. I am afraid that we are going to keep you all up too late that first night, what if our plane is late, and we are still thinking it might be best if Meg picks us up and drops us at a hotel. We don’t want to be any inconvenience. Well, I’ll close…I don’t think I am supposed to write a whole letter. We will talk later today. Love, Mum and Dad

    Mr. and Mrs. Weadock,
The staff here at The Days Inn would prefer if you stayed at the house in McKinney.
    Thank you,
    Davis Inn,
    CEO of Days Inn, Inc.

I am so happy to see the two of you doing so well! You will soon see that there is nothing better in life than having a child! I wish you and yours the best & please keep in touch.
